Testing Upload Scanning Parent topic

The following procedure includes the instructions for uploading the test virus:
  1. Open the IWSVA console and click HTTP > Advanced Threat Protection > Policies in the left menu. Click Enable virus scanning to remove the check, and then click Save.
  2. Open another Web browser and download the test virus (eicar.com) from the following page:
    http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm
  3. When prompted, save the test virus on your local machine.
  4. Back in the IWSVA console, click Enable virus scanning and then Save to restart the Web scanning.
  5. Upload the test viruses to a Web site. A message similar to the following should appear in your Web browser.
    InterScan Web Security detected malicious code in your Web traffic.
