Testing FTP Scanning

The following procedure contains instructions for testing FTP virus scanning in the standalone mode:

Download the test virus from the following page: www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm
FTP to the IWSVA server, and when prompted, log in to the IWSVA server using your FTP login name @ the ftp server IP address. For example, if your FTP account name is anonymous and the IP address of the FTP server is 10.2.10.10; then, log in as: anonymous@10.2.10.10
Enter the following to upload the test file:
```
put eicar_com.zip
```
If you have configured the IWSVA FTP proxy correctly, IWSVA displays a message similar to the following:

InterScan Web Security detected malicious code in your ftp traffic.
```
