Scanning is not automatically enabled upon installation. You must first activate the
product and then enable scanning before it will begin checking for viruses and other
Internet threats.
IWSVA must be activated and the annual license current for HTTP and FTP scanning to
work. Activation and a current product license are also required to perform virus
pattern, scan engine, and other product updates.
