Preparing Windows Server 2003 for Remote Installations Parent topic

Before running Safe Lock remote installations, follow this procedure to prepare components for the following Windows versions:
  • Windows Server 2003
  • Windows Server 2003 R2

Procedure

  1. Turn off Windows Firewall.
  2. Turn on File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks.
    1. Go to Start → Control Panel → Network Connections.
    2. Right-click Local Area Connection and then select Properties.
    3. Select File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks.
