Troubleshooting URL filtering

If you are having a problem with URL filtering, check the following before calling technical support:

  1. Check license status—IWSVA must be activated and the product license current.

  1. Check that the policy has been deployed—After adding or editing the global policy, or any policy on the Policy list, you need to deploy your changes to the IWSVA database before they will take effect (new policies will also be automatically deployed after 30 minutes).

  1. From the main IWSVA menu, click Administration > IWSVA Configuration > Database, and then click Test Database Connection.
