Securing the LDAP Connection

Trend Micro recommends that you use a secure connection between IWSVA and your LDAP server. The list below shows supported LDAP servers and their encryption type.

• Note: Do not use Simple (plain text) except for connection testing.

Microsoft AD for Windows Servers 2003, 2008, and 2012

• Kerberos/SPNEGO

OpenLDAP

• Kerberos/GSSAPI

• Digest/MD-5

• none (simple)
