Approved URL Lists Parent topic

HTTP > Configuration > Approved Lists > URL Lists
There might be URLs that you simply want to exempt from the following:
  • Global Applet/ActiveX List
You can also add "false positives" to this list.
Tip
Tip
A false positive occurs when a Web site, URL, "infected" file, or email message is incorrectly determined by filtering software to be of an unwanted type. For example, a legitimate email between colleagues might be detected as spam if a job-seeking filter does not distinguish between resume (to start again) and resumé (a summary of work experience).
You can reduce the number of future false positives in the following ways:
  1. Update to the latest pattern file (virus, spam, and so on).
  2. Exempt the item from scanning by adding it to an Approved List.
  3. Report the false positive to Trend Micro.
Note
Note
Approved lists using the [approved] format cannot be imported. However, blocked and allowed lists using the [blocked] and [allowed] formats can be imported.
The list shows all configured approved URL lists on the system. Click Add to create a new list, or click the list to edit an existing one. After you have created an approved list, you can apply the list in your scanning or filtering policies.
