Use this screen to update the selected IWSVA components and scan engines.
Update—Select a component and click Update to trigger an immediate update of that file. Trend Micro recommends that you schedule
automatic product and pattern file updates (Updates > Schedule). The following lists IWSVA components you can update:
Virus pattern (includes Trojan and worm signatures)
Spyware pattern
Bot pattern
IntelliTrap pattern
IntelliTrap exception pattern
Smart Scan Agent pattern
Script Analyzer pattern
Protocol Information Extraction Pattern
Virus Scan Engine
Advanced Threat Scan Engine
URL filtering engine
Rollback—If a virus pattern update ever fails, you can easily "rollback" to a previous version
of the file to restore protection.
Note
You must set IWSVA to keep a cache of at least two (2) pattern files (at the bottom
of the Updates > Connection Settings page). Rollback is not supported for phish and URL Filtering engines.
Update All—Click Update All to trigger an immediate update of all components.
