Notifications > Threshold Alerts
Thresholds
You can specify the threshold alert value and the frequency of the alert so that you
are notified when a threshold has been exceeded. IWSVA can send alerts either through
email, SNMP trap/notification (if enabled), or both. You specify whether to use the
email notification by selecting the appropriate check box near the desired threshold
type. The time period where no notifications are sent apply to both the email notification
and SNMP trap.
-
Notes:
1. Configure threshold alert settings for email notifications. Threshold alert settings
do not affect when IWSVA sends SNMP traps.
2. For the database threshold, the default threshold is 80%. The database threshold
also applies to remote databases. ODBC communicates with the database and does not
distinguish between local and remote databases.
Notification Messages
There is one email format for all alerts, with dashboard display values populating
the type of alert, such as those for virus, spyware, or CPU usage. Email alerts support
multiple email addresses in the Recipient field. Addresses must be separated by commas.
