Modify SNMP settings Parent topic

You can modify the SNMP settings by going to Administration > Network Configuration > SNMP Settings.
As an alternative, you can modify the SNMP settings by editing the following file:
/etc/iscan/tmsnmpd.conf
The file contains notes for each of the following parameters:
  • syslocation
  • syscontact
  • trapsink
  • trap2sink
  • informsink
  • trapcommunity
  • authtrapenable
Additional SNMP settings are in the following file:
/etc/iscan/intscan.ini
The file contains notes for the following parameters:
  • svc_port=
  • turn_on_srv= when set to "yes," IWSVA will automatically restart the HTTP and FTP services if they stop unexpectedly. The default is "yes."
Use the product UI (Notifications > SNMP Notification) to add or remove SNMP notifications for the following:
  • Virus or Internet threats
  • Security violations (can be quite numerous)
  • Pattern, database or scan engine updates
  • IWSVA service interruptions
  • System performance metrics
  • High Availability events
  • Hardware monitoring events
