Most Internet threats, including spyware, Trojans, and worms cannot be "cleaned" because they don't actually "infect" the file. Trend Micro recommends you delete worms (because of the huge numbers possible) and quarantine or delete spyware, Trojans, and other unwanted programs that IWSVA has been configured to detect.
Quarantine Directory
  • Specify quarantine directory—When the Scan Policy Action for HTTP and/or FTP scanning is Quarantine, IWSVA will move those files to the directory specified here. The default location is:
    /var/iwss/quarantine

    Trend Micro recommends that you encrypt all quarantined files.
