Web pages from an intranet are unlikely to exist in the Web Reputation database. To
avoid having the filter look up and/or perform a real-time evaluation of each page
on the intranet, you can add the entire domain to an approved URL list and include
the list in the URL Filter policy.
To prevent filtering intranet pages:
-
Click HTTP > Configuration > Approved Lists to open the URL Lists page.
-
Click Add to add a new approved URL list with your preferred name such as "r;Intranet".
-
In the Match field, enter your root intranet domain. For example,
www.intranet.mycompany.com
-
Choose Web site, and then click Add. The intranet will be added to the list of sites IWSVA will not evaluate for filtering.
-
Click Save to apply your changes.
-
From the main menu, click HTTP > URL Filtering > Policies. Click a policy name and click the Exceptions tab. Choose the approved list name ("r;Intranet") from the Approved URL list drop-down
menu.
-
Save and deploy the policy.
