If a replacement network card is already installed on the IWSVA machine and you remove a network card used by the bridge/proxy interface or the separate management interface, IWSVA automatically uses the replacement network card and applies the same IP address settings as the removed network card.

This automatic mechanism allows you to replace a faulty network card quickly without reconfiguring IP address settings.
