A growing number of malicious threats seek to embed themselves within a malformed email in an attempt to fool scanning and bypass antivirus products. The IWSVA scan engine's MIME-decoding algorithm can correctly parse and detect malformed versions of MIME-formatted files. The engine also supports 7-bit and 8-bit encoding/decoding.
