Proxy settings must be configured if you are installing in the following modes:

Forward Proxy Mode

Depending on your network configuration, you can either specify:

Forward Proxy Standalone Mode Settings

To configure the Proxy Settings for the Standalone Mode:
  1. Select the Forward Proxy mode radio button on the Deployment Mode page.
  2. Click Next.
  3. Follow the configuration recommendations:
    Configuration Parameter Description Recommended Value
    HTTP Listening port This is the port that IWSVA listens on to receive connections. 8080
    Enable upstream proxy (check box) Enable / disable upstream proxy Leave unchecked if you do not use another proxy device upstream of IWSVA
    Proxy server The IP address of the preferred proxy server. Enter either IPv4 or IPv6 addresses.
    Port number This is the port that IWSVA listens on to receive connections. 8080
  4. Click Next.
  5. Set up the Network Interface to continue the deployment.

Forward Proxy Dependent (Upstream) Mode

To configure the Proxy Settings for the Standalone Mode:
  1. Select the Forward Proxy mode radio button on the Deployment Mode page.
  2. Click Next.
  3. Follow the configuration recommendations:
    Configuration Parameter Description Recommended Value
    HTTP Listening port This is the port that IWSVA listens on to receive connections 8080
    Enable upstream proxy (check box) Enable / disable upstream proxy Check (enable)
    Proxy Server Upstream proxy server address Type in the value of the upstream proxy server
    Port Port of the upstream proxy server Type in the port number of the upstream proxy server
  4. Click Next.
  5. Set up the Network Interface to continue the deployment.

Reverse Proxy Mode

To configure the Proxy Settings for the Reverse Proxy Mode:
  1. Select the Reverse Proxy mode radio button on the Deployment Mode page.
  2. Click Next.
  3. Follow the configuration recommendations:
    Configuration Parameter Description Recommended Value
    HTTP Listening port This is the port that IWSVA listens on to receive connections for reverse proxy 80
    Enable SSL Port (check box) Enable / Disable SSL. Leave disabled unless required. Check to enable.
    SSL Port number This is the port that IWSVA listens on to receive HTTPS connections for reverse proxy. Default is 443
    Certificate This is the certificate file needs to be imported for HTTPS. None. Import *.pem file.
    Private Key This is the certificate private key file need to be imported for HTTPS. None. Import *.pem file.
    Passphrase This is the passphrase needs to be imported for HTTPS certificate. None.
    Protected Server This is the FQDN or IP address of the Web server IWSVA is protecting. Type in the FQDN or IP address of the protected server.
    Protected serverPort number This is the port of the Web server IWSVA is protecting. Type in the port number of the server being protected.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Set up the Network Interface to continue the deployment.
