IWSVA supports the following LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) vendors:
  • Microsoft Active Directory for Windows Servers 2003, 2008 and 2012
  • Linux OpenLDAP 2.2.16, 2.3.39, 2.4.11
If you have an LDAP server, it is very convenient to create user- or group-specific policies with IWSVA. Event logs, reports, and notifications will use your LDAP hierarchies for user identification.
Main Tasks
To configure IWSVA to work with your LDAP server, you need to complete the following tasks:
  1. Specify your LDAP vendor.
  2. Tell IWSVA your LDAP attributes.
  3. Identify the location of your LDAP server.
  4. Identify the authentication model your LDAP server uses.
Note
Note
If you are unsure about any of the previously mentioned details, you will need to get the information from your network LDAP administrator to configure IWSVA.
