Configuring Notification Settings Parent topic

Safe Lock Intelligent Manager sends the following types of notifications based on configured settings:
  • General: Notification of information and warning messages sent to Safe Lock Intelligent Manager by endpoints after blocking files

  • Outbreak: Notification sent when the specified number of open warning messages in the specified time period has passed the threshold

Procedure

  1. Go to AdministrationNotification Settings in the navigation at the top of the web console.
    The Notification Settings screen appears, open to the General tab.
  2. To send general notifications using email:
    1. Select Send notifications using email.
    2. Specify the recipient email addresses.
    3. Specify your SMTP server settings. For details, see Configuring SMTP Server Settings.
    4. If your SMTP server requires authentication, select SMTP authentication and specify credentials.
    5. To send a test message using this configuration, click Send Test.

  3. To send general notifications using SNMP:
    1. Select Send notifications using SNMP.
    2. Specify your SNMP server IPv4 address or Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN).
    3. Specify your SNMP Community string.
  4. To send general notifications using third party applications:
    1. Select Launch a third-party application.
    2. Specify the full path to the third-party application.
    3. Optionally, specify any run-time parameters for the application.
  5. To send outbreak notifications:
    1. Go to the Outbreak tab.
    2. Select Send outbreak notifications.
    3. Specify the threshold number of open warnings in a time period.
    4. Specify the threshold time period of those warnings.
    5. To display a Windows notification on the screen of the physical Safe Lock Intelligent Manager server endpoint during outbreaks, select Display pop-up outbreak notification balloon on the physical Trend Micro Safe Lock Intelligent Manager server.
